Kapolei  Homestead Community

The Kapolei homestead community is presently comprised of Malu’ohai and Kaupe’a associations.  Malu’ohai was completed and occupied in 2001.  The first Kaupe’a residents moved into their homes in early 2007, and the last families will receive their homes in mid-2008.  The development of East Kapolei Phase 1 and Phase 2 will increase the Kapolei homestead community to four associations and more than 2,000 homestead families.

On, Wednesday, March 26, 2008, the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands will dedicate its administrative building, Hale Kalanianaole.  The Kapolei homestead community joins with DHHL, in the spirit of laulima and lokahi, to stage a special celebration honoring Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalanianaole.  E hele mai, e komo mai kakou:  Come, you’re all welcomed.
